A stalled garage cleanout turned into a workable weekend
The call came in on a gray morning in Hanscom Park neighborhood, and the garage already smelled like old cardboard and damp wood. The homeowner had torn into a cleanout after years of stacking boxes, broken shelving, and a busted recliner, then hit a wall when the pile blocked the driveway. We could see the problem right away: narrow space, soft ground from the rain, and no room to keep dragging debris by hand. If we missed the placement, the whole cleanup would stall.
We rolled in with a low-profile dumpster and set boards where the tires needed the extra bite. I talked the customer through what to toss first, then our crew kept the load balanced so nothing shifted when the bin filled up with lumber, trash bags, and old household junk. We stayed clear of the garden beds and left the driveway swept back down. By the end, the garage had breathing room again, and the homeowner could finish the cleanout without fighting the pile.
I finally got that garage back, and Khalid’s crew made it feel simple instead of overwhelming.
